Chris (Heuer) and I were out to dinner on Monday night and got to talking about favorite local restaurants with our waiter. When he found we were a fan of the raw fish, he suggested we head over to Uchi.
Wait, scratch that, he actually insisted we go.

Finding an opportunity to head over there on Wednesday, we sat down in the middle of a bustling dining room and decided to put our order completely in Kimberly’s hands (our waitress). She really hit one out of the park. I cannot remember the name of a single item we had, but know we consumed mounds of sake, saba, maguro and uni. It was all incredibly fresh consisting of lovely textures and flavors. A really wonderful dining experience
Adding to the amazing quality of food was Kimberly’s knowledge of every dish. She took the time to explain how everything was prepared and what sauce went with what fish and really walked us through the menu.
It was awesome.
Uchi is not the cheapest place to eat in sushi, but it is by far…one of my most favorite. We will be back.
