We hosted our first Social Media Club House back in 2007 in Las Vegas during Community 2.0 Conference and the annual SNCR conference. It worked out quite well, with some great podcasts created each day, but it was not as focused on the media making as we want it to be going forward. But that experience, and our work since in hosting blogger lounges at different conferences, has lead us to create something that is really quite special.
We always seem to be doing things a bit differently – sometimes more simply, sometimes more adhoc – but always with really cool people, and this time is no exception. Social Media Club House is a home for bloggers before, during and after major conferences. It is a place to create media, to sleep and to share the camaraderie of distant friends.
In addition to the Clubhouse activities, we will cover people, events and activities around the conferences we attend. We will hopefully take field trips to share the local area through the eyes of bloggers and entrepreneurs. We will share some meals with you. We will shares some tales with you.
This blog is your central hub to all the news coming from the Social Media Clubhouse, and all the insights coming from Clubhouse residents. We hope you join us for our video streams, our photo walks, our tweet streams and so much more, all happening right here…
